Corporate partners and sponsors

How to add corporate partners to your medals and medal pages, and show them what it achieved with clicks and reports.

Many charities have corporate partners who'd love to be part of saying thank you. Breaktape lets you put a partner on your medals and medal pages, count the visits it sends to their website, and give them a simple report afterwards. It's a way to give partners something real in return for their support.

Add a partner

  1. Go to Settings, then Sponsors.
  2. Under Add a sponsor, fill in the Name, as it should appear on medals.
  3. Under Which event, choose your awards or one of your events, or All events. Medal pages for that event show this sponsor.
  4. Under How they show on medal pages, choose Headline: shown first, larger or Partner.
  5. Add their Website. This is where a tap on their logo goes, and clicks are counted for your sponsor report.
  6. Add a Report contact and Their email if you'd like a note of who receives their report.
  7. Choose Add sponsor.
  8. To add their logo, find them under Your sponsors, choose Edit, and upload it next to Logo. PNG or JPEG up to 2 MB, ideally on a white or clear background.

Admins and editors can add and change sponsors.

Put them on the medal

A medal design has three places for a sponsor, and each can hold a different one:

  • On the ribbon: the sponsor's name, in capitals.
  • Foot of the medal face: their logo, or "Supported by" and the name if there's no logo.
  • Share images: "With" and the sponsor's name on the story and square images.

To choose them, open the design (on your awards page, choose Edit the design), go to Sponsors, pick a sponsor for each place, and choose Save version N. See Sponsors on medals.

On medal pages

Every medal page for that event shows the event's sponsors that have a logo or a website, in a "supported by" panel. Headline sponsors come first and larger, and partners follow under "With thanks to". Each logo links to the sponsor's website, and every click is counted.

Medals for under-13s and medals their holders have made private have no public page, so sponsors aren't shown for those.

Show your partners the results

Go to Analytics and find Sponsors. For each sponsor you'll see:

  • On the medal: how many medals carried them
  • On share images: how many medals had them on the share images
  • Clicks to their site: taps from medal pages

Choose Report (CSV) to download a sponsor's report. It lists every award or race they were part of, with counts only and no personal details, so it's safe to send to them. See Sponsor reports.

Good to know

  • To stop showing a sponsor, choose Archive. They disappear from medal pages and new designs. Medals already given keep the design they were made with, and you can Restore a sponsor later.
  • There's no limit on how many sponsors you add, but only one sponsor fits in each place on the medal, so it stays readable.
  • Sponsors never appear as links in the medal email. Their name or logo can be on the medal picture itself.
  • Thank-you medals start with no sponsor. Add one to the design when you're ready.
