Sponsor clicks and reports

How to see what each sponsor got from your medals, and download a report you can send to them.

Sponsors want to know what they got for their support. Breaktape counts how many medals carried each sponsor and how many people tapped through to their website, and gives you a report per sponsor that's safe to send straight to them.

See your sponsor numbers

  1. Go to Analytics.
  2. Choose the Event, Year and, if you like, the Race at the top.
  3. Scroll to the Sponsors section. It appears once you've added at least one sponsor.

The table shows, for the event, year or race you picked:

Column What it counts
Sponsor The sponsor's name, marked Headline or Archived where that applies.
On the medal Medals with the sponsor on the ribbon or the foot of the face. If they're in both places across your designs, the split shows underneath.
On share images Medals whose share images carry the sponsor's name.
Clicks to their site Taps on the sponsor in the "Supported by" panel on your medal pages.

Medals count once per finisher. A sponsor on every medal page but not on the medal itself shows zero in the medal columns, and still collects clicks.

Download a sponsor's report

  1. In the Sponsors section, find the sponsor.
  2. Press Report (CSV) on their row. A spreadsheet file downloads, named after the sponsor and today's date.
  3. Open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets to check it, then send it to their report contact.

The report covers every race the sponsor was part of, not just the one you've picked on the page. For each race it lists:

  • event, year and race
  • finishers and medals issued
  • medals with the sponsor on the ribbon, on the face and on share images
  • medal page visits from shares (all visits to that race's medal pages through links finishers shared)
  • clicks to the sponsor's website

Counts only

The report holds numbers and nothing else. No finisher's name, email, time or bib appears in it, so you can send it to a sponsor without sharing anyone's personal data.

Breaktape doesn't send reports for you. The Report contact and Their email you saved with the sponsor are there to remind you who to send it to.

Good to know

  • Clicks only come from medal pages. Medal emails carry no sponsor links, so nothing is counted from the email.
  • A click is a tap, counted when someone taps the sponsor on a medal page, before they're taken to the website. We can't see what they do on the sponsor's site.
  • Archived sponsors keep their numbers. Their past clicks and medals still show, marked Archived.
  • Anyone on your team who can see Analytics can download a report: admins, editors, viewers and finance.
  • Numbers keep growing after release, as finishers share their medals and people visit.
